At Prolight + Sound Guangzhou 2026, GF-Truss had the opportunity to connect with event professionals, rigging specialists, engineers, and production companies from around the world. After a busy week from May 28 to 31, these four days were a whirlwind of technical questions and hands on demonstrations. We saw a clear shift in what professional visitors are looking for this year. People are searching for specialized systems that solve very specific rigging and safety problems.

Testing Stability: The 8x4x5m Layher Experience
One of the biggest draws at GF-Truss was the full scale layher structure we built. It stood 8 meters long, 4 meters wide, and 5 meters high. Instead of just letting people look at it from the floor, we encouraged them to get on it. We integrated a full staircase and a series of heavy duty pedals so visitors could actually experience the stability for themselves.
Many of our guests mentioned that they had struggled with wobbly towers in the past. After walking the platforms of our 8x4x5m rig, the conversation usually turned straight to load bearing charts and assembly speed. It was a practical way to prove that our layher is a reliable tool for high load access and event structures.

Precision in Every Inch: The Evolution of Mega Hydraulic Structure
When it came to our mega hydraulic structure, the questions became very specific and data driven. Technical leads and structural engineers focused on the hard numbers of our mega hydraulic structure. We had many detailed discussions about the precise travel speed of the cylinders and the total stroke available for various rig configurations.
We walked dozens of customers through the motion control interface to show how every section operates together. This synchronized motion control is clearly becoming the new standard for stadium tours and luxury architectural installs.

A Global Exchange: Building Partnerships for the Future
We also communicated with engineers and designers from over 15 different countries. These face to face talks gave us raw feedback that you just cannot get from an email. We discussed safety standards in different countries. This global perspective helps us understand that while every market is different, everyone wants equipment they can trust when the show goes live.
We also noticed that buyers are placing greater emphasis on certified testing, documented engineering data, and proven project references. These factors are becoming just as important as product specifications when evaluating a supplier for major projects.
We want to thank everyone who stopped by Booth 9.1D68 to test our gear and challenge us with tough questions. The success of this show is a direct result of every connection. We believe that strong partnerships are built through transparency, technical expertise, and proven performance in the field. We are already looking forward to supporting your next big project with the same level of precision and stability.
